Our Plants of the Week: Carnivorous Plants

Watch Emma as she shares about these unusual plants!

This week, we are featuring Carnivorous plants. We have multiple varieties in the greenhouse, including both shade-loving and those requiring full sunlight. Several include:

• The Tropical Pitcher Plant, or Nepenthes

• Venus Fly Trap, or Dionea Muscipula

• The Trumpet Pitcher Plant AKA Monkey Pitcher, or Sarracenia

• Sundews, or Drosera

• Butterwort, or Pinguicula

These plants eat anything from small insects to an occasional small mammal. Quite interesting!
