Soils, Mixes & Amendments

Florida’s sandy soils aren’t always friendly to plants and vegetables. As a result, gardeners (and landscapers) must often add “amendments” to their plots. These may include organic compost materials, fertilizer or more advanced products. Often, having your soil tested (pH, etc.) will enable you to make the right decision regarding what amendments are needed.

We carry a full line of potting soils & mixes, fertilizers and more. Note that potting mixes are typically used or drainage and aeration and include peat moss, perlite and other materials. Conversely, potting soil does indeed include soil along with compost, peat moss, perlite and vermiculate. Your intended purposes will direct which product, along with any needed fertilizers, would be chosen.
