Plant of the Week: Tropical Totems!

We are excited to spotlight three eye-catching climbers that bring instant height, texture and tropical personality to your indoor plant collection: Philodendron ‘Brasil’ Totem, Monstera adansonii Totem and Philodendron ‘Panda’ Totem.

Philodendron ‘Brasil’ Totem

Known for its colorful heart-shaped leaves, ‘Brasil’ combines deep green foliage with bright lime and golden-yellow variegation. As it climbs its totem, the plant develops a fuller, more upright look that makes a beautiful statement without taking up a lot of floor space.

Monstera adansonii Totem

Often called the Swiss Cheese Vine, Monstera adansonii is loved for the natural holes, or fenestrations, that form in its leaves. Giving it a totem to climb helps mimic the way it grows in nature and can encourage larger, more dramatic foliage as the plant matures.

Philodendron ‘Panda’ Totem

With lush green foliage and a naturally climbing growth habit, Philodendron ‘Panda’ creates a bold tropical look when trained vertically. Its dense foliage and architectural form make it a great choice for adding greenery and height to a bright room.

All three prefer bright, indirect light, a well-draining potting mix and watering after the top portion of the soil has begun to dry. Their vertical growth makes them especially useful for adding impact to corners, offices, living rooms and other spaces where you want plenty of greenery without a sprawling plant.
