Ixora

Ixora (Ixora coccinea) is an evergreen flowering plant or shrub that blooms throughout the year. Multiple varieties offer colors in orange, bright red, pink, yellow and even white. Leaves are dark green, glossy and oblong in shape.

Ixora grow up to ten to 15’ tall and four to 10’ wide. Dwarf varieties reach three to four feet. They are moderately drought and salt tolerant but won’t thrive in direct gulf breezes. Full sun will produce near-continuous blooms, however, you’ll still enjoy plenty of flowering in partial shade.
